Laparoscopic Nephrectomy

What is Laparoscopic Nephrectomy ?
Laparoscopic Nephrectomy is removal of kidney through keyhole surgery. This operation may be necessary when kidney is affected by cancer (Radical Nephrectomy) or when kidney is completely scarred and non functioning (Simple Nephrectomy). 

What does this procedure involve?
Removal of kidney through three or four keyhole incisions, using a telescope and operating instruments put into the abdominal .One of the incisions will need to be enlarged to remove the kidney.
