Mr Subramonian undertook his basic Urological training and research in West Yorkshire, followed by Higher Surgical training in London. He underwent special training in endoscopic surgery for stone disease and laparoscopic surgery at King's College, London and St. George's Hospital. He also spent some time in Cleveland clinic and John Hopkin's Hospital in America on a travelling scholarship from the British Urological Foundation, to learn minimally invasive surgical skills before joining University Hospital Birmingham as Consultant Urological Surgeon.
